Welcome to the 2012 season!
Our kitchen will continue under the expert leadership of Syringa native Lorraine Smith who will continue to delight diners with her huckleberry and other seasonal fruit pies! This will be Lorraine’s 9th season at River Dance Lodge.
In planning for your stay, or restaurant reservation, here are a few things you need to know:
We are open for dinner seven days a week between May 6 and September 13, 2012. Reservations are strongly recommended as we have limited seating. From September 13 until we close October 14th, the restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Every day dinner is served with one seating, starting with appetizers at 7:00 PM. We offer a four-course meal, served family style. Each evening there is a set appetizer, salad, main course, side dish and dessert along with non-alcoholic fountain beverages and coffee or tea. Price is $25 ($15 for children 12 and under). Tax, alcoholic beverages and gratuity are not included. We have an extensive wine list and beer in bottles and on tap.
Saturday & Sunday Lunch:
We are open for lunch Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 5pm. Our menu features salads, soup, pastas, fish, meat and vegetarian options. Reservations for the weekend lunch are not required, but appreciated. Call the lodge directly at 208-926-4300. We have our legendary huckleberry pies by Lorraine and other delectable desserts. Please see our Sat & Sun lunch menu below.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is served by reservation for our cabin guests only, daily from 8:00 to 9:30 AM. During our peak Lochsa season (May 14 - June 19) breakfast is available starting at 7:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays and is served family style. Breakfast is $10 ($6 for children 12 and under). Tax and gratuity are not included.
Lunches:
Lunches are provided on all daily activities. Otherwise, box lunches may be ordered in advance to enjoy in your cabin or take with you if you’re exploring on your own. The Syringa Cafe is open for lunch only on Saturday and Sunday.
Please note: Any guests staying at our cabins that are not part of an all-inclusive package are encouraged to make meal reservations with our office at the time of reservation. You can wait until you arrive at River Dance Lodge but because of limited seating we may not be able to accommodate you. The nearest grocery store is 15 miles away and we do not sell food items in our souvenir shop, so we welcome you to make reservations and enjoy your meals at the lodge dining room.
May – June Lochsa Season Special
On Friday and Saturday during the Lochsa rafting season of May and June, those rafting with us return to the Lodge sometime between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. For the next couple of hours we show photos from the day’s rafting excitement in the lodge dining area. Beer, wine, other beverages and light appetizers are available for sale during this time. Then, for those with reservations, we serve dinner. This begins at 7:00 pm with appetizers.
