As the tamaracks turn gold and burning bush becomes brilliant red, the crisp days of autumn begin in Clearwater Country. Cutthroat trout start to migrate downstream to deeper water, black bears that have been eating huckleberries begin to think about their winter dens and deer and elk move from the high country to lower elevations.

Cool night temperatures cool the rivers down and days are typically sunny, clear and ideal for hiking and bike riding. There are numerous trails along creeks, up mountains and some leading to wilderness hot springs. Use our Idaho log cabins as your base for cultural explorations too, with various Nez Perce sites not far away. There are also museums, shops and small towns to explore.

We offer two options for your autumn all-inclusive adventure vacation. One is a Sunday to Thursday stay and the other is a Thursday to Sunday stay.
